The Cahersiveen Community Resource Centre is involved in developing services and providing facilities for the people of Cahersiveen and surrounding baronies especially those most disadvantaged.
The Cahersiveen Community Resource Centre was formed as a Limited Company on the 19th November 2002 and is located in the Old Carnegie Library Building, Church Street, Cahersiveen, Co. Kerry. The ownership of the building passed from the Carnegie Trust to Kerry County Council some years ago. For more information on Andrew Carnegie and Carnegie Libraries, click here.
We are also delighted to announce that we now offer a disability lift service to centre users. Just ask any member of staff to assist.
A note about Cahersiveen. There are four different spellings in use: Cahersiveen, Cahirciveen, Caherciveen and Cahirsiveen. We prefer and use Cahersiveen, because it most closely resembles the Irish Cathair Saidhbhín, meaning The stone fort of little Sive. This spelling is also used on most road signs in the area.
